2025-26 Curriculum

DANCE WITH ME (18 months-2 yrs old)

Our dance with me class invites a parent, guardian or caregiver to join in with your child and enjoy a special bonding experience as you learn dance moves together with them! Watch your little one, explore the world of dance in a fun and creative way.

Class is 30 min. *

Children MUST be 18 months as of September 1, 2025.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Ballet shoes or grip socks are required.

Adults should wear socks.

TINY TUMBLERS (2-4 yrs old)

This class is a fun and positive introduction to the sport of gymnastics. It will develop confidence and build strength, balance and awareness. Tiny tumblers, aiming to enhance the development of your child, self-esteem and unique physical abilities by providing him or her as personal attention and instruction in the fundamentals of tumbling and gymnastics in a safe, creative and fun environment.

Class is 45 min. *

Children MUST be 2 as of September 1, 2025.

Dress Code: Leotard & shorts. No shoes are required.

TINY DANCER (2.5-3 yrs old)

Based on our popular creative program, this class allows us to share the love of dance with your child at an early age. The class will help develop their motor skills, introduce them to the basics of Tap & Ballet all within a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Class is 45 min. *

Children MUST be 2 1/2 as of September 1, 2025.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Tan Tap & Pink Ballet shoes are required.

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

PRESCHOOL I (3-4 yrs old)

One of the most popular in the area! Our creative program is designed for the 3 & 4 year old that develops their motor skills and introduces them to the basics of Tap & Ballet.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Tan Tap & Pink Ballet shoes are required.

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

PRESCHOOL II (4-5 yrs old)

A level 2 combination class of Tap & Ballet for 4 & 5 yrs old. Dancers will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of dance in a fun and creative way while also working on their skills. This class is an excellent way for children to gain self-confidence, listening, and learning skills and a sense of accomplishment.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Tan Tap & Pink Ballet shoes are required.

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

TAP/BALLET COMBO (5-6 yrs old)

A level 3 Tap/Ballet combination class for 5 & 6 yrs old. Dancers will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of dance in a fun and exciting way, while also working on their motor skills. This class inspires creativity, teaches coordination, as well as musicality. Students will develop strength, dance technique and rhythm, in a caring & nurturing environment.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Tan Tap & Pink Ballet shoes are required.

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

TAP/JAZZ COMBO (6-7 yrs old)

Level one combination class for 6 & 7 yrs old with an emphasis on Jazz. Very popular and a lot of fun!

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Jazz shorts or jazz pants may be worn.

Tap & Jazz shoes are required. (Black or Tan for both)

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

ACRO

Acro is the fusion of tumbling, dance, technique, athleticism, agility and strength through the use of acrobatic skills. Based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in areas of flexibility, balance, limbering, and tumbling. One of the advantages of Acro dance is that it increases flexibility while building strength. This allows dancers to maintain and improve the range of motion so they can execute acrobatic moves safely with minimal risk of injury. As dancers, flexibility is extremely important to prevent injuries, pain, and stiffness

Dress Code: Leotard & shorts. No shoes are required. Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

BALLET

The basic foundation for all forms of dance. It will develop grace, poise, increase flexibility and concentration.

Dress Code: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

Hair in secure bun.

JAZZ

A popular free form of movement derived from a variety of dance rhythms. Through careful selection of music and movement sequences, the student will be exposed to many styles of dance.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Jazz shorts or jazz pants may be worn.

Jazz shoes are required. (Black or tan)

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

TAP

This unique style of dance helps students understand and create different rhythms as they practice using their feet as percussive instruments.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Shorts or jazz pants may be worn at the teacher's discretion. Tap shoes are required. (Black or Tan)

HIP HOP

A fun and funky way to dance featuring the music and moves of today! This high energy class is full of fun and assured to get you moving while building confidence and inspiring creativity. This class focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style.

Dress Code: Tank top, Jazz shorts or jazz pants. No baggy clothes.

Sneakers are required. Hair in secure ponytail.

LYRICAL

Lyrical is an interpretation of words and music which are set to a series of dance patterns that express feeling and emotion.

Dress Code: Leotard & tights. Lyrical turner shoes are required.

Hair in secure bun or ponytail.

With each student being evaluated, Next Generation Dance Company reserves the right to make class re-assignments at the teacher's discretion for students not in the appropriate class level. Any adjustments deemed necessary will occur during the first two months of the season.
